Activities

You are here:

Early childhood learning is not a stand-alone activity. Children need to be engaged in the topic, taught the content in a way that incorporates movement, and finally, they need the opportunity to show what they know!

The activities you’ll find here are a great addition to any early elementary classroom, or even in a homeschool setting. They are fun, engaging, and can be used together with Joe Scruggs’ collection of music, or even on their own as a fun activity for students to demonstrate their learning.

The BEST part about these resources? They are absolutely free! We believe so much in their value that we just know you’re going to want to check out the songs that go along with them.

Coloring Pages

These are great to use in conjunction with Joe’s music. You can have your child color in the sheet while listening to the songs to “color what they hear” and replicate the synesthetic experience, or have them color it afterwards for as a recall activity.

Activate Total Physical Response (TPR) learning by incorporating finger puppets into your musical experience. Practice fine motor skills by coloring and cutting out the finger puppets, then have your child use them to put on a show set to Joe Scruggs’ music!
